The ATA Carnet (Admission Temporaire/Temporary Admission) is a temporary export-import and international customs document. It is used to clear customs in some countries and territories without paying duties and import taxes on goods that will be re-exported within 12 or 6 months (for exhibition and fairs goods).
It significantly simplifies the customs clearance procedure for temporary entrance of goods and saves both time and money. This document substitutes customs declaration ensuring quicker and more simply customs procedures and allows its holder to visit several countries within 12 or 6 months.
